Total Success for the 13th Edition of the Santos Peñoles Cup

Torreón, Coahuila, May 5, 2025 – This Monday marked the conclusion of the 2025 edition of the Santos Peñoles International Cup, a tournament that was lived with great excitement from start to finish at Territorio Santos Modelo and various venues throughout La Laguna.

This year’s journey began with a spectacular opening ceremony at Estadio Corona, attended by over 17,000 spectators. The event celebrated the Comarca Lagunera with a first-class show featuring a live music group, fireworks, and a drone display.

Nearly 450 teams participated in this edition, experiencing what it’s like to play in an environment similar to that of professional Santos teams. The football action ran from last Thursday through today, creating memorable moments for all involved.

As part of the Guerreros de Corazón social responsibility program and its commitment to inclusion, the CSP once again featured a category for teams made up of athletes with Down syndrome and intellectual disabilities. This initiative not only promoted inclusion but also encouraged physical activity, family bonding, and healthy lifestyle habits.

Club Santos Laguna acknowledges and celebrates the work that Peñoles carries out through this tournament and various other initiatives that benefit the Comarca Lagunera. Likewise, the Club sincerely thanks all participants for their passion and dedication, which helped make this edition an unforgettable memory and a resounding success.
