Torreón, Coahuila, May 2, 2025 – This Friday marks another exciting matchday of the 2025 Santos Peñoles Cup, Mexico’s Best Cup, taking place at Territorio Santos Modelo and various other venues across the Comarca Lagunera.

The 13th edition of this international tournament—where Club Santos Laguna and Industrias Peñoles join forces to use the power of sport as a tool to transform communities—aims to equip new generations with essential values and life skills for holistic development. The competition will conclude on Monday, May 5.

It’s worth noting that all participating teams enjoy a unique and memorable experience at TSM, a world-class facility that offers a taste of what it’s like to train and compete like the professional Santos squads.

Stephen David Reyes Niño, coach of the U13 Real Sociedad team from San Pedro de las Colonias, Coahuila, shared his thoughts on participating in this prestigious international tournament:

“The kids get incredibly excited because they get to face strong clubs like Santos and many others in the Cup. It’s a great challenge for them, and they really enjoy it.”

The coach also added:

“Their dream is to play at the facilities of the team they love. To come here, give it their all, and experience everything surrounding the Santos Peñoles Cup is truly special for them.”

Finally, he shared his impressions of the grand opening ceremony held at Estadio Corona, home of the Guerreros:

“It was amazing. The kids' parents left with a great impression. This was our first time participating, and it couldn’t have started off any better.”
