DIF Gómez Palacio Lives the Santos Peñoles Cup 2024 to the Fullest

• Through the Guerreros de Corazón category of the Santos Peñoles Cup, children and young athletes with intellectual disabilities have had the incredible opportunity to play their favorite sport in the same facilities used by the professional teams of Club Santos Laguna.

Torreón, Coahuila – April 30, 2024. The fourth day of competition in the Guerreros de Corazón category has been an enriching and emotional experience for all participating teams, their families, loved ones, and friends.

A Coach’s Perspective

Rafael López, coach of Club Lobos DIF Gómez Palacio, shared his thoughts after another exciting match at Territorio Santos Modelo:

"These have been incredibly fun days, full of camaraderie between all the teams. The players are truly happy, radiating joy every time they step on the field."

Meeting First-Team Players

One of the most exciting moments for the players was meeting Santos Laguna’s First-Team members:

"Now that we are participating in the Santos Peñoles Cup, we've had the chance to meet First-Team players. Today, Stephano Carrillo visited us, and everyone was beyond excited to take pictures with him and get his autograph on their uniforms."
