Everything Ready for the Grand Opening of the 13th Edition of the Santos Peñoles Cup

• The opening ceremony will take place this Wednesday night at Estadio Corona.

• This cup began several years ago with 40 teams, and today around 450 teams will seek glory, including the Santos Peñoles Academy network.

• As part of the Santos Peñoles Cup experience, there is a category for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Torreón, Coahuila, April 28, 2025 – The countdown is on for the start of the thirteenth edition of the most important youth and children’s tournament in our country: the Santos Peñoles International Cup – Mexico’s Best Cup.

The opening ceremony will be held this Wednesday at Estadio Corona, home of all the Guerreros, with the presence of participating teams and a top-level show that aims to celebrate the region of La Laguna.

The competition will take place from Thursday, May 1 to Monday, May 5, days that promise to be a true festival full of activities and football passion.

Territorio Santos Modelo will be the main venue for the matches, boasting excellent infrastructure to host them. Additionally, alternate venues will be used thanks to the support of various clubs, schools, and universities that also offer top-tier facilities.

More than 200 matches will be played daily across 18 categories, including the women’s division and the category for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

The finals will be held on Sunday, May 4 and Monday, May 5, with an awards ceremony for each category taking place at Estadio Corona.

This international tournament will feature teams from various states across Mexico, as well as the United States. Notably, several current Santos players such as Carlos Acevedo, Aida Cantú, Jordan Carrillo, Nicol de León, Stephano Carrillo, and Marianne Martínez had the opportunity to participate in this tournament during their developmental years.
